Tomas Dirrix (°1988) graduated with honours as Masters in Architecture from the TUDelft. Previously he studied in Mendrisio, Switzerland and Ahmedabad, India.

He has worked for various offices in the Netherlands including OMA. He co-founded Studio Ossidiana in 2014 and for nearly three years has led the research and design department of Diederendirrix architects in Rotterdam.

In 2017 he established his own practice Atelier Tomas Dirrix in Rotterdam. In 2018 he was selected for the talent development grant from the Creative Industries Funds for his project ‘Possible Structures’ through which he researches and designs architectural structures both as a material or spatial configuration and as a constructive idea.  

Tomas Dirrix teaches at the chair of Rational Architecture/Transformational Design at TU Eindhoven, the department of Interiors, Buildings, Cities at TU Delft and at the Academy of Architecture, Rotterdam.

Tomas Dirrix is a fully qualified architect and is registered in the Netherlands under 1.150115.022
